So sweet ! Thanks for featuring my print on your blog -and for mentioning my cards ! Did you come to Printfest ?
ReplyDeleteHi Jane! No I haven't heard of Printfest but it sounds like something I should go to. We bought your print at Rostra & Rooksmoor Gallery in Bath on our honeymoon and absolutely love it! I'm hoping to get back into screen printing again but haven't found anywhere with the equipment nearby since leaving college. Do you have your own or do you use a shared studio?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you love Zut Alors - it's one of my favourite prints- I kick myself for making it an edition of only 18 ! You may like my seal print -c est fantastique / have a look on my website .I print at Spike Print Studio in Bristol -it s great as they have 6 print beds and everything you need really. And you get to print alongside other people which is great.I think if I started printing at home I d be one step closer to divorce !!!! It is possible though -have you heard of print gocco ?hard to get hold off but a fantastic little print bed exposure unit all in one .let me know if you need any more screen printing advice -it s my passion. !prinfest is a great printmakers art fair in Ulverston,Cumbria every may for one weekend - definately worth a visit x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, i've actually just got a Gocco printer but haven't had much time to use it yet. I wish I lived in Bristol! There seem to be so many print studios there but none in Lincolnshire. If you ever need another work experience girl I'll be on the next train :) (I have a degree in printed textiles from Leeds)
ReplyDeleteOh I m very jealous about your printgocco - I ve not been able to get one ! Thought it would be great to print at our shop,Fig, without causing chaos . How did you get hold of one ?
ReplyDeleteCommiserations about a print studio - we are very lucky here-Snap s a great co operative run by some friends of mine and spike island is great .I ll bare you in mind for the work experience !
Thankyou! I got my Gocco set from this company, although the prices seem to have risen since I bought mine...
