A sneak preview of our Christmas advert! It features one of the 9 Glitter jelly magnet cards from Pango Productions. Bubble, the limited edition Christmas doll from Momiji, comes in a pretty bauble-shaped tin and the matching accessories include a snowglobe, sticky tape and packs of charity cards.

Quirky design ideas

At 44 we're always looking out for new quirky designs and we're really excited to have these in the shop. A ceramic noodle cup to eliminate the need for plastic disposable cups, a balsa wood plane kit in postcard form to write on and post to a friend, an adorable little polar bear bath plug and a massively oversized sharpener to store your pencils in.....brilliant! I'm sure more of these amazing ideas from Suck UK and Propaganda will be popping up in 44 in the future.

New shop layout!

Ta-dah! the new counter is in place and we've re-jigged the shop layout a bit to give us more space. We'll hopefully be having a new display unit built soon where the old desk used to be. Then we'll have loads more space to display all the stationery, hooray!

These new cards by Ingela Peterson are fantastic! There are 7 retro designs to choose from, all beautifully coloured and printed with vegetable inks onto recycled board.

Look what we found on ebay...a 1970s G-plan bar! It'll make a perfect counter for the shop, with an illuminated shelf at the front to display little badges, bits of jewellery and flyers on. Anyone fancy a cocktail?

The Mike Perry 'Iron Me On' craft pad is here!!! 30 sheets of awesome words & doodles by the Brooklyn based illustrator to iron onto T-shirts, bags or almost anything you can think of. A Sukie iron-on craft pad is also available.

Stationery village

We're very happy to announce a new arrival in the shop this week...a lovely new range of cards from Norwegian company Darling Clementine, including the Marionette series of animals and the Camping series of quirky collages. 

We've also got a box set of 100 Vintage Marvel comic postcards, lots of new notebooks and sketchbooks from Katy & June, cute A4 files featuring illustrations from the Japanese cartoon Magic Soup, the Sukie Perpetual Calendar and their set of Animals on Parade note cards. Wow!

Lots of wonderful new things arrived in the shop this week, including the new !Monster Monster! range from Pango, Space Invader ice cube trays, chopstick holders and Artbox slippers. We've added a few more things to the online shop too.

Snow Day!

Something for the boys...

For all those boys who who've opened the door to the shop and said "urgh, it's all GIRLY!" we now have something you might like...a set of four pocket-sized notebooks featuring images from vintage Marvel comics. Classic superheroes including Spiderman, Captain America, the Fantastic Four & the X-men. Also coming soon we have a box set of 100 vintage Marvel postcards and 'Walls' notebook which has photos of different walls on each page for you to graffiti. We're also looking forward to the arrival of a new range from Pango...brilliant birthday cards with Japanese style monster collages. Let's hear it for the boys!

Trade fair treasure hunt

We had a brilliant time at Top Drawer on Sunday looking at all the new products by our current suppliers. We also found some lovely new things for the shop. Keep looking out for news of new arrivals...including the amazing iron-on transfer books by Sukie & Mike Perry! We've already got all our fabulous Valentine's cards out on the shelves and stationery from Katy & June. Their incredibly cute 'Love Stamp' sets would make the perfect Valentine's present.
